Hard Drives (HDDs)
Hard Drives or HDDs (hard disk drives) are the component in a computer system that stores all the data. All your programs, documents, pictures, videos, etc. are stored on a hard drive. Think of this as your computers long term storage. The bigger the drive, the more stuff you can save. They come in different shapes and sizes and form factors. Desktops usually use a 3.5" and laptops usually use a 2.5". The most common speeds are 5400 rpm or 7200 rpm. If you want something faster, consider an SSD (solid state drive) these don't have any moving parts and load almost instantly. We're here for you!
